  1. Connect the cable coax line dedicated to your cable modem to the Cable Input Coax on the cable modem.
  2. Plug the power cord into a surge-protected outlet. Connect the power transformer to the modem's power connector. If yours has a power switch, turn on the modem. Wait for the modem to "sync" with the system. This may take several minutes. A modem light will indicate when syncronization occurs.
  3. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable that came with your kit into the Ethernet port on your computer.
  4. Insert the other end of the network cable into the Ethernet port on the back of the cable modem.
