ImOn Communications Celebrates 11th Anniversary By Giving Back to Local Nonprofits!

March 09, 2018 at 12:19 PM

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - On March 9, 2018, ImOn Communications will celebrate its 11th year of service in Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha, and now Iowa City and Dubuque. Besides providing high quality Internet, cable TV, and phone services to residents and businesses, ImOn also believes in supporting and investing in the communities it serves. So in honor of its 11th Anniversary, ImOn plans to host a special event to give back to these communities.

From March 13th-23rd, ImOn Communications will be holding a “March Gladness Nonprofit Bracket Challenge”. The ImOn March Gladness Challenge follows along the lines of the NCAA March Madness Tournament, but instead of basketball teams, 8 local nonprofits will compete for community votes. Each day, a pair of local nonprofits will compete for community votes on ImOn’s Facebook page and customer website (www.MyImOn.com/MarchGladness). The nonprofit that gets the most votes will move on to the next round. This will continue until a final winner is determined on March 23rd. The winner will receive a $500 donation from ImOn, and the runner up will receive a $250 donation.

The 2018 March Gladness Nonprofit Bracket Challenge will be held from March 13th-March 23rd, and will include the following local nonprofit organizations: Cedar Rapids Library Foundation, Cedar Valley Humane Society, Friends of the Animal Center Foundation, Jane Boyd, Johnson County Crisis Center, Shelter House, the Salvation Army, and United Way of East Central Iowa.

This will be the third year ImOn will hold the March Gladness Nonprofit Bracket Challenge. Past winners include Arc of East Central Iowa and Last Hope Animal Rescue.
