Getting Started: Turning on your cable equipment

  1. Press the CBL button and then the Master Power (PWR) button. This will turn on/off your set-top box and TV at the same time.
  2. Press the CH+ or CH- button to change the channel. The "Flip Bar" appears at the bottom of the screen and lets you know what is on that channel. The information displayed includes the network name, the name of the program, start time, and length of program.

Any device that is programmed in the remote will turn on/off when the Master Power button is pressed while in cable mode. More information on programming your remote control can be found in the remote control user guide found on page 5.

Notes:

  • When I push the Master Power (PWR) button, one of my devices (TV or Digital Box) is powering off while the other is powering on?
  • The remote and devices are out of sync. Go to the TV and Digital box. One will not be powered on, turn it on so both devices are on. This will re-sync the devices to the remote.
  • When turning the devices on/off with the remote, make sure both devices are turned on or off before placing the remote down.
  • If the TV is on and the box didn't turn on, simply press the CBL button and this will turn the box on without affecting the power to the TV.
  • If you press the TV button and then the Power button, it will only turn on the TV and not the set-top box.
